In 2v1 drills, two players attack one defender. These drills help build up your players’ running, screening and shooting aptitudes.
2V1 Screening
Split the group into two with another person starting on the cone. Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 before giving a handoff ball to player 1 again. Player 2 then turns to make a screen, with player three making a run, then making a cut before receiving a pass from player one and shooting.
3 Man Weave 2 V 1
3 men will weave down the court. When the players reach the half court line, the player with the ball puts the ball on the floor and becomes the defender. The other two players get the ball and play out a 2v1.
2 on 1 Passing Drill
Blue 1 and Blue 3 must try to exchange passes. White 1, the defender must try to intercept or deflect the pass. This helps to identify boundaries for the players to work in.
