The Superman Passing Drill
The superman Passing Drill is a type of drill that requires team members to focus completely on getting into the position for a pass, that too without actually completing this task. One of the team mates is required to delivers balls over the net to the team member positioned on the other side who is to move into position in order to receive the balls. After that, they will let the ball bounce between their legs. If the ball is able to pass through their legs with ease, their legs would be the perfect width apart and they will be in the correct position to make a pass.
The Single Player Pass Drill
Being able to pass to one’s own self requires them to control the ball so that they can position themselves to receive their passes and have them return to their desired location. It is vital that the players who are practicing this drill should work on moving the ball from one side to the other and both to the front as well as the back so that they move to reset their position after each pass.
The Three Pass Team Drill
The three pass team drill is a simple drill and is a precursor to learning the pass, hit technique, set, that comprises of the main strategy of the game. The only difference between them is that instead of the player setting the ball and hitting it over the net, team members is to pass it over the next after the third pass. 2 groups will be placed on the opposing sides of the net and they can continue this drill by passing the ball over it until one of the groups fails to complete a pass.
The Concentration Passing Drill
This specific drill tests the ability of players to be able to maintain their composure in the presence of the noise as well as other distractions that are expected while playing the real game. Players will be divided into 3 groups of 4 players for this drill. The group will comprise of a single server, one setter and one passer who is required to pass the ball to each another for as long as they are able to keep it in the air. The fourth member of each team will be required to take reasonable actions in order to cause disturbances and make an effort to make the others fail throughout this drill.
