The Solo Shooting Drill for netball
A player should stand feet shoulder width apart while lining up for the post and while they hold into the ball with their shooting hand and support it with the other, balancing hand. They would have their arms stretched upward and their elbows should be touching the ears, while the arms of the player should bend at the elbow, mainly behind the head and then make a shot. Players can repeat this netball drill from as many angels of the court as possible.
Partner Shooting: 10 Shots
This drill is essentially performed with two players. It required one post, one ball, and a total of 10 cones. Each cone is supposed to be lined up at different points, and the player who is responsible for shooting should be timed and the coach should analyze how much time it takes for the player to make a shot from each one. The feeder will take the rebound the ball every time the shooter will make an attempt at the basket, and the rule is that the shooter can only move on once every time a shot is made from the assigned position.
Partner Shooting: Shooting and Cardio Training
This drill again has only two players (a retriever and a shooter), and is mainly aimed at practicing their shooting accuracy while simultaneously testing the players endurance.
The rebounder will be required to place the ball anywhere around the semi-circle, and as for the shooter, he or she will sprint from the ball to the sideline and back. When returning back to the ball, the shooter will have to attempt to make a basket. After he or she takes the shot, they will have to run back to the sideline and the drill will be repeated over and again while the rebounder‘s task it to place the ball in another spot on the semicircle. This continues until all 10 baskets are made.
5 People Or More: 10 Pass Shooting Drill
Two shooters are placed within the circle, while three attackers are placed up the court. The attackers are supposed to begin at the transverse line and are required to pass between themselves almost 5 times before they can pass it to their respective team shooters. After the shooters have been passed the ball, another five passes have to be made before an attempt at a shot can be made.
5 People or More: Race Shooting
This drill requires every individual player to line up at the top of the court. A ball is placed in the hands of player 1 and player 2, and their goal is to score a point before their opponent.
Player 1 is supposed to shoot one time and if he makes the shot, player two is out of the game. However, in the instance that the shot does not go in, player 2 and player 2 duke it out until and unless a shot is made. Whoever is unable to make a shot is out.
