Breakaway shooting game is a type of soccer drill used to train players in the art of shooting. It is a soccer drill most likely played by players ranging from the age of 6 to 14 years old. The setup of the game involves arranging a number of cones in a specific manner as shown in the diagram. The players, for this drill, will be divided into teams of two.
The game starts with when the first player, player 1, begins by dribbling the soccer ball to one cone. The task that he will have in hand is that he needs to shoot the ball before he gets to the other cone. On the off chance that the second player, player 2, is able to save the ball before this happens, he gets to keeps the soccer ball and hurries to the end of the line which is on his team. On the off chance that player 1’s shot is wide, then player 2 makes is supposed to take the ball and go to the end of the line for his group. After Player 1 shoots the ball, he turns into the goalie. It will then be the third players turn, player number 3, to dribble and shoot the ball. After he shoots the ball, he or she then turns into the goalie and player 1 goes to the end of the line on his team. The team that wins the game is the one which is able to reach 15 points first.
