One Man cycle Drill:
This drill begins with the coach tossing the puck to the corner and then following the players to exert pressure. The players have to judge the coach’s position and then move away from the pressure being applied at the corner.
2 men Cycle:
This drill begins with the coach tossing the puck to the corner. The first forward goes to take the puck upto the boards. The next forward after the first in a cycling position. 1 makes a pass to 2 and then cycles to the center to get a pass. 2 makes a pass to 1 to take a shot.
The drill then shifts to the other side.
2-Men-behind-the-net Drill:
This drill starts with the coach tossing the puck behind the net. F2 retrieves the puck and makes an indirect pass to F1. F2 then goes to the front of the net to get a pass. F1 then makes a pass.
3 Men Cycle:
This drill begins with the coach tossing the puck to the corner. The first forward goes to take the puck upto the boards. The next forward after the first in a cycling position. 1 makes a pass to 2 and then cycles to the center to get a pass. 2 makes a pass to D to take a shot.
The drill then shifts to the other side.
3 Men Cycle (With Pressure):
This drill begins with the coach tossing the puck to the corner. The first player has to rush to the puck and also look behind over his shoulder to judge pressure from the coach. With reference to the figure, the other 2 players line up along the boards as shown. The first player then brings the puck as per the coach’s pressure.
