Slide Race Drill

Cones will be set up. Two players will go up against each other. On the mentor’s whistle the players must touch every cone 5 times. When they have done that it is the first player to snatch the cone in the center. The first player to get the cone is the champ. Change the format of cones, or make this practice a hand off race – with just the last player for every group being permitted to snatch the cones for their group.

Bicycle Squats

Begin in the press up position; Bring one leg forward, bending the knee; The knee ought to go before the line between the shoulders; Leg moves back as the other leg moves forward, knee between the shoulders. Exercise for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Lateral Jumps

Players will bounce from side to side, hopping as high as the can while additionally tucking their knees up. Once the player lands, they will need to bounce again. Exercise about 45 seconds in a row.

Backboard Touches

The player will stand just before the backboard (to the side of the edge). The player will hop and connect with both arms to attempt and touch the backboard. Once the player lands they will hop straight move down. Exercise 3 sets of about 10 jumps.

Side to Side Hop

Find a vertical line on the floor to the other side. Bounce over the line with both feet then jump back to starting position as fast as would be prudent. Rehash. Try to keep your feet jumping as one.
