Get out of here is a type of attacking or defending drill, played by soccer players to train them in these techniques.
This is a great drill or game which helps work on all aspects of a soccer game. It can be either be played as 1 v 1, 2 v 2, or even a 3 v 3. The techniques that it can be used to help focus on are defense, tactics, offense, and other techniques as well. The game moves very quickly, even though there are lines. The setup involves having a 20 by 40 grid, with two separate goals.
The game involves making two separate lines of about 3 to 5 players. The lines will be drawn behind two cones. The coach will position himself in the centre of the field, with numerous soccer balls with him.
The players will wait for the coach to yell the word “go”. After this command, the first players positioned in each of lines will have to sprint around the cones placed on the corners and then around the goals. The player will try his best to be the first player to arrive into the playing area. The task of the coach is to then serve one of the soccer balls to the first player who arrives into the playing area. From there onwards, the players just play a 1 v 1 small sided game of soccer. If a player is able to score a goal or if the ball is kicked out of bounds, then the coach has to yell the words “get out of here”. The two players in the playing area will then have to sprint right off the field, coming off by the coach in order to avoid collision with the next two players in line. The initial step is repeated, and the coach yells the command “go” and the next two players carry on with the game in the exact same way.
