This drill starts from the corner with 1 and 2 passing back and forth to make a chance to score. 1 can also go about the net for a deflection or a wraparound shot on 2.
4 Persons Pass:
This drill starts out by F1 making a pass to D1. F1 can either drive at the bottom or go round the top of the circle. F2 has to go round the top. D2 and D1 can take a shot or make a pass.
The action should be changed each time in order to keep the goalkeeper alert.
Particular Zone Shot & Rebound:
This drill starts with F taking a shot from a particular area on the ice and then moving to a rebound position.
During the drill, the cones should be moved about the ice to fluctuate shot selection.
2 on 0 Alternatives:
This drill starts with F1 skating to the cone and can then do either of the 4 options given below:
Take a shot
Make a pass to F2
Go to the back of the net and make a pass to F2
Do a wraparound
These alternatives can be mixed up to keep the goalkeeper alert.
1 on 0:
This drill starts with F standing two feet outside of the circle. When the whistle is sounded, he has to take a shot without moving his feet.
An alternative to this can be that F can do 1 stride.
1 on 0 (Inside of the Cones):
F takes a shot from outside of the cone so as to make a rebound. F then comes inside of the cones and plays a 1 on 0 rebound for 10 seconds.
The 20 shots drill:
For this drill each player is given 5 pucks. The drill begins with player 1 moving about in order. The goaltender has to alter his position so as to block each shot.
