Often it happens, that it’s difficult to aim and visualize the trajectory of a swing if you’re not very experienced at golfing. Tour Sticks are a pair of fiberglass rods that golfers use as a portable, multifunctional training tool to reinforce fundamentals of the golf swing. Due to the versatility of this golf swing product, the alignment sticks are suitable for golfers of all levels and ages. Following are a few practice drills where Tour Sticks can be utilized.
BALL FLIGHT DRILLS:
Golf fade:
One stick is stood in the ground about 9-10 feet away from the golfer, on the line directly connecting the player and the intended target. The second stick is placed at an angle to the first one on the ground for alignment. The goal of the drill is to start your shot to the left of the standing stick and make it curve back to the target.
Golf gateway:
This drill involves standing both the sticks ten feet away from the golfer 6-12 inches apart from each other. The sticks are aimed at the target and the goal of the drill is to aim the shot to go through the gateway formed by the sticks to improve aiming.
PUTTING DRILLS:
Straight Back and Through:
Both the sticks are placed on the ground with a distance slightly wider than the putter head. The ball is to be placed in the center of the sticks and the goal of the drill is to make a putting stroke without hitting the sticks.
Arc-style Putting:
The sticks are placed parallel to the target line on the ground spaced such that one is 2 inches outside of the balls placement and the other is placed as such to provide correct alignment for the golfer’s body. The goal of the drill is to make a stroke in a slight arc like motion. If the stroke is made correctly, the putt will not touch the stick.
