It is said that people are naturally born with their bodies which they cannot change much. Often believed that if you’re born with the athlete body you’ll be able to run but if not, you can’t run but no. As you grow up you can change your body the way you want to. You don’t come into this world with flexed muscles and abs. You exercise, struggle and work for it and hence; with practice you can change your running forever.
There’s an old saying ‘Use it or Lose it’. That’s the case for our muscles. We need to work on our flexibility every day. As we grow with time we tend to do less, use our joints, ligaments, muscles less but in order for good running you need to keep your joints working every day. A few minutes of everyday stretching or walk will do no harm and will also strengthen your muscles. Secondly, to be a good runner you need a straight posture. It’s because bent postures and spine will lead to less blood circulation to muscles and organs and will require up more energy when you run. Your legs are very important in running…of course. You need to keep your legs toned, muscle strengthen, glutes, hamstring muscles and leg muscle flexed.
One thing you need to make sure that don’t put too much pressure on your body if your body can’t take it. If there’s pain or sore you need to know why and find a cure. Leaving it may lead to severe complications. Belly breathing is very important for runners and athletes. Try breathing from your belly all the way up, you need good breathing movements for running. Just remember running doesn’t have to be hard and it surely doesn’t have to hurt.
