2 Vs. 0 and 2 Vs. 1:
When the whistle is sounded, D dumps the puck behind the net and sets it off the board to the other D. that D makes a pass up the center to F who then takes a shot. D skates up to the faraway blue line and gets a pass from F at the corner. The other two F’s are up against the first D for a 2 on 1 game.
3 x 1:
As the whistle is sounded, D1 is down in between the circles and D2 is at the faraway blue line. F1 makes a pass to D1and then skates across the neutral zone, down the faraway wall and thru to the faraway blue line. F2 skates down to the near wall and thru to the faraway blue line. D1 shoots an extensive pass to D2, who skates back and scores a transition pass to F2 or F1 in the neutral zone (NZ) and then joins in the rush for a 3 on 1 round against D1. When this drill is finished, D2 is now the new D1 and another D steps in for the D2 spot.
2 x1:
This drill begins as a whistle is sounded from the alternating ends. D steps in and passes to F1 who is coming across the zone. F2 scoots low to skate alongside F1 who makes a pass to F2 who makes a pass to F4. F1 and F2 now rearrange low across the zone. F4 makes a pass to F3 who makes a pass to F2 who is skating across the zone. Now a 2 x1 is performed by F1 and F2 against the D who began the drill. Switch ends.
Five Passes:
This is a simple drill but polishes the skills of making a pass and speed when receiving a pass.
Lines 1 and 3 go when the first whistle is sounded and lines 2 and 4 go when the second whistle is sounded. 1 skates and makes a pass to 2. 1 gets a rebound pass from 2 and skates up to the ice to pass to 3. 1 then coils down low as 3 makes a pass to 4 and gets a rebound pass from 4 while skating out from the zone. 1 then takes a shot while skating up on the ice.
