Utilize the passing drills to build up your players’ preciseness and abilities in playing, as well as, propelled passes including the overhead, wrap around, baseball, spill, behind-the-back and pick and move passes.
These drills build up your player’s passing aptitudes, such as the 1-5 post passing, 2 on 2, 2v1, three man, 3v1v1, 3v2 and eight man passing drills. Here are some tips before starting;
Utilize two hands – this will give you more control of the ball.
Venture into your pass – this will give you more power and control in the pass.
Continuously complete – your hands ought to take after the bearing of the ball.
2-on-2 Transition Drill
Two players (blue) with the ball start from the half way line. They’re playing against Red 1 and Red 2. After the attackers have had their shot the 2 defenders must box out and claim the rebound.
Once the drill is complete players rotate; Attackers become the new defenders, the defending pair leave the court and swap with a new pair who are the new attackers.
Continue until every pair has had a go.
1-5 Post Passing
Place a post player underneath both baskets. These players will begin with the ball. A point guard begins on the wing on a same side of the court as their partner, with three cones placed in front of them on the wing.
The player underneath the basket starts with a ball and tosses it off the backboard, reenacting a rebound. They then pass to the point guard on the wing and sprint forward, while the player on the wing dribbles with quick feet through the cones.
Once the player dribbling has reached the end of the cones; they will then pass to the player on the run for a layup.
