A screen, also known as a pick, involves an attacking player blocking a defender by standing beside or behind him/her so a teammate can shoot, receive a pass, or drive in to score unhindered. The screening drills will develop your players’ ability to set the back, cross, double, flare, staggered and down screen techniques.
The 2v1 and 3v3 screening drills then move to advanced moves so your college players can combine the technique with rolls, back cuts, passes, and slip to run in for a lay-up.
2 V 1 Screening
Split the team into two with a further individual beginning on the cone.
Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 before giving a handoff back to player 1. Player 2 then swings to make a screen, with player 3 making a run, then making a cut before accepting a go from player 1 and shooting.
3 V 3 with Defense
Players join with another gathering of 3. One gathering plays detached resistance to begin off with. As the attacking group enhances, the defense group continuously turn out to be more dynamic.
Back Screen
The back screen happens when the lower defense player sets a screen for a player higher up on the court. The screen will be determined to somebody’s back and the player getting the screen will cut towards the basket.
