Turning on Rollerblades can be very tricky in the start. Many beginners fail to turn in the start but as they say practice makes perfect. If you stay careful and enjoy the drill, rollerblading can be a lot of fun. Slow down at first, and you’ll find yourself running quicker and smoother over time. Remember to follow safety protocols and follow safety tips before practicing any turning techniques on your rollerblades. Wear your safety protection at all times because you could get injured if you trip. Before you jump to the bigger ones, try taking small turns. Skating exercises require a control of the sides of the pedals. The inner and outer sides of the wheels are often referred to as edges. If you skate on one side, you can quickly draw a circle on the ground. It’s as simple as putting your weight on one side, turning, and leaning your body at the same time. The first thing skaters need to know is they have to be skating at a comfortable speed and a comfortable position. The most comfortable position would be not to have your knees locked. The biggest mistake is attempting to turn while going too fast. To slow down you simply drag your toe stop. Turn your body in the direction you’d like to turn and look in the direction of the turn. Don’t look in the opposite direction. Bringing your shoulders into the turn will give you control as well. Bring around your dominant leg, pick up your leg and drop it. To turn completely use your hips for momentum. Most importantly, have fun!
